How do you choose the best facial moisturizer for your skin?

By day, an spf moisturizer is your best protection against premature wrinkles.

Your night moisturizer on the other hand should be tailored to meet your skin's specific needs.

A moisturizer protects your skin. It prevents your skin from losing excessive moisture. Moisturizers keep skin soft and supple.

A basic moisturizer usually consists of two parts, one that is water based and another that is oil based. As oil and water do not mix, an emulsifier is used to keep the oil and water particles suspended together in the form of an emulsion. A lotion is predominantly water based with tiny oil droplets suspended in it. A cream is oil based with tiny droplets of water suspended in it. When you have oily or acne, what do you do? Attack the oil. Dry it up with alcohol to dry up the zits and get rid of the shine. What you should do is to treat your skin gently. Stop using alcohol or anything that might dry the skin excessively.

Mature Skin Moisturizer

For mature skin, there are so many anti-aging moisturizers in the market, you can take your pick. Some have patented ingredients or secret formulas while others openly list the source of their fountain of youth. Go with your skin type.
