haircolor
What is the right hair color for you?
That depends on the kind of image you want to achieve. Whether the look is right for you or not also depends on the color of your skin and eyes.
- Do you want the goth girl look?
- Or would you like to look angelic?
- Do you think blondes have more fun?
- Or would you prefer the stronger look of the brunette?
- Would you like to stand out from the crowd as a fiery redhead?
- Would you prefer to color hair funky?
- Do you want a subtle change?
Does your skin have golden undertones? Are your eyes hazel, a rich brown, or does your eyes have golden flecks?
If either is the case, caramel hair color is ideal for you. As is any color with warm undertones.
Does your skin have cool undertones?
If it does, blue black, platinum blonde and hair dye colors with blue undertones would flatter you best.
If it is the first time you're changing your hair color and want to play safe, go two or three shades lighter or darker than your natural hair color, taking care to pick a color that suits your skin tone.
Hair Color Ideas
Going through the magazines, watching movies with actresses with gorgeous locks and seeing stars prance on the stage with drop dead gorgeous hair, I had hair envy. I got my ideas for a new hairstyle from watching these celebrities change their hair color and style to freshen up their image.I bought a box of loreal hair color to dye my hair as I was tired of my natural hair color. At first, I had intended to get it done at a hair salon but at $100 for a simple base color and an additional $120 for highlights, I thought I would take the risk and do it myself.
For a first timer, it was rather nerve wracking. What if my hair turns green? What if my hair all drops off instead? What if I get blinded by the dye? What if.. the list goes on.
Actually, it was a cinch.
Do a patch test 48 hours before the actual application.
That I did with no ill effects.
Then follow the instructions and color your hair.
- First I tore a hole in several sheets of newspaper and poked my head through it. Actually, you are supposed to use a plastic sheet, but I could not find any. >
- Then, I mixed the color as instructed
- Next was to apply the color on hair. I did not use the whole tube (I regret that). I put a bit of the color over my hair just enough but did not coat my hair with enough color so that the color might be seen. In fact, I ended up throwing away half the tube.
- Leave it on for the color to develop. - I then left it for the minimal amount of time. Instead of 30 minutes, I left it on for 20 minutes.
- When the time was up, I rinsed it all off and applied the conditioner that came with it.
Ok, I'm so cautious because my hair is very fine and I have a history of slight hair loss. That problem has been solved with the daily use of a great hair tonic, but I am still extra careful when it comes to my hair.
